For Monroe County NOW's January meeting, we have assembled a panel of amazing local women who work to help people facing poverty, especially those who work at organizations and agencies that do not often get highlighted. Come learn about the new challenges that have arisen due to COVID-19, the different ways these women have worked to meet these challenges, and ways community members can plug into these opportunities and fight poverty.

Our Vice President, Abby Ang, who is also an organizer of the Monroe County Area Mutual Aid network, will moderate the panel.

Join Monroe County NOW and special guests for a panel discussion on the Netflix film Athlete A on Wednesday, December 9, at 7:30pm. Athlete A is a documentary about an August 2016 article in the Indianapolis Star concerning sexual abuse in USA Gymnastics involving team doctor Larry Nassar. The film follows IndyStar reporters as they reveal the extensive cover-up that allowed abuse to thrive within elite-level gymnastics for more than two decades, the attorney who is fighting the institutions that failed these athletes, and most importantly, the brave survivors who refuse to be silenced.
