Indivisible Bloomington/9th District is proud to announce their 9th District Citizens Town Hall, where constituents of Indiana Rep. Hollingsworth will voice their concerns. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 11 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at City Council Chambers in the Showers Building (401 N. Morton St.).
The hosts include Indivisible Bloomington/9th District, Monroe County National Organization for Women, Standing Up for Racial Justice, Hoosiers for a Commonsense Healthcare Plan, MoveOn, and SoIndivisible.
We don’t know what Hollingsworth’s positions are on issues important to Hoosiers, such as healthcare. Considering the international confusion about US policy and objectives, it’s important that he be open and transparent with us, and not simply pick and choose who he wants to talk to. We are all his constituents.
In addition to scheduled speakers, participants will be encouraged to share thoughts, concerns and personal stories connected to federal governmental decisions. Participants at the town hall are encouraged to write messages to Hollingsworth that will be hand-delivered to one of his district offices during the congressional recess. Messages can also be submitted to Hollingsworth on his website: hollingsworth.house.gov, or by phone at 812-288-3999 (Jeffersonville, IN office).
